To,

The Post Master General,
Southern Region,
Madurai – 625002.

Sir,                     Sub: Infringement of personal liberty of the postal staff
C/o Southern Region - objection submitted

                          Ref: 1) SR R.O.email BDII/13-118/TNEB/10-11/MA dt.10-09-12
                                  2) SSPO`s Madurai Memo.No. P/BD/TNEB/3-53/RPIII dt10-09-12

Please refer two circulars cited above.
In the  memo. Cited  under item  2 of  the  reference , the SSPO`s Madurai  Division  has
Circulated by  communicating   the  Southern Region letter  cited  under  item  1 of   the reference  that all the postal staff including GDS and the MPKBY Agents must pay their
TN Electricity bills in the post offices, failing which the matter  will  be viewed seriously.

We  the  circle  unions  consider  that  this  kind  of  compulsion  to  the  staff   is   highly undesirable, because to-day it may be TNEB Bills, to-morrow it may be extendedfor purchase of Gold etc.
As it is the infringement of personal liberty to the postal staff , we request the regional Administration to withdraw this instruction immediately. The copy of the instruction is
Enclosed.

With kind regards,                                                                                     Yours sincerely
