The meeting was presided over by Sri.T.N.Rahate, President.  All  the  FWC  members  were  present.
The FNPO in collaboration with the Japan postal group union had  organized  the  Seminar on `Change
Management`.  This is the first meeting jointly organized by FNPO and JPGU.  The  Japan  delegates
Bro.. Eichi Itto and Bro.Masunu Honda gave a detailed  picture  about the changes  taking  place  in
Japan post  for the past 10 years.  In the past 10yrs, the Japan post  has gone in to various changes.
The JAPANPOST originally completely run as a Govt service, now has been bifurcated in to 4 companies
vice,  Mails, Insurance, Banking, Delivery  and Counters  with  disinvestment  to  some extent.
But after these developments the strength of the regular employees reduced and the casual labour is
increasing. [Dear colleagues, we should understand that the same will happen to our services also, if the
Govt. measures towards privatization are totally implemented.-GPM CS ].
The Seminar `Change management` was taken by Sri.Sitesh Porwal, Senior consultant, TCS and a lecture
on this was given by Sri.Ganesh.V.Sawleshwarkar, Director PTC Vadodara. They mainly focused that the
the employees must be aware that they are working in competitive sector and their  mind  set must be
ready  to accept the changes which are coming in  a big  way soon, as these are very much essential  for
the survival and growth of the Department. The TCS, Infosys, SIFY all these companies, have secured
thousands of  crores of Rupees   contracts for the Modernisation of Postal banking, Insurance, Counter
operations  etc.,  [Our Circle union is  planning  to conduct such a `Seminar`very soon- GPM CS].
After this ,the Secretary General Sri D.Theagarajan presented the work report for the period under review.  Our General secretary Sri.D.kishan Rao made some observations on the report.   Then there
was a elaborate discussion on all the items of agenda. GPM Circle secretary supported all the struggle decisions taken by the Federation. Finally it was unanimously  decided   when ever  the  struggles  are planned and conducted for demands like Constitution of 7TH Pay commission, merger of 50% DA with
Basic Pay, abolition of New Pension scheme etc., the FNPO with all it`s affiliates should join in those
struggles. FWC successfully ended.
