LETTER TO CHIEF PMG ON SEMINAR

Madam,                                 Sub: `Features of Core banking in Postal department`- Seminar conducted

On behalf of our Circle union  the  seminar titled` Features of Core Banking  in Postal Department`  was
organized on  25-10-2013 at our union office Chennai.
All the Circle working Committee members and  all the Divisional and Branch secretaries  in the Chennai city Region had participated.    The Chief PMG was  kind  enough  to  grant  special  casual  leave  to  the participants.

The following views were expressed in the Seminar.

1)      In the Core banking the Savings bank Depositors of post office can gradually switchover to` on line banking.
2)      Any time any where banking  including ATM facility.
3)      The establishment of `Circle level `Central processing centre` will quicken the processing of the
SB related requirement of the depositors.
4)      The quality of the SB work will improve in the post office.
5)      If the Core banking is successfully  carried out , that will pave the way  for `Post Bank of India`.

During the deliberations the participants put-forth  the following points also.,

1)      All the officials involved in the work of Core banking must be drawn Savings bank allowance.
2)      Proper maintenance of Computers , Printers etc.,
3)      Adequate supply of computer papers
4)      KYC norms should not be relaxed.
5)      Interest for Small savings should be increased to attract the large number of customers.
6)      All the work related to pre- migration to CBS must be done perfectly to ensure the best performance of CBS.
